Name Badge Policy

It is very important to wear your name badge during the conference. Admission to all functions, including sessions and the networking events, is by badge only. If you lose your badge, there is a US$50 charge to replace it. Please pay the replacement fee at the Registration Desk to obtain a replacement badge. Conference badges are not transferable and may not be shared.

Registration Desk Location and Hours

The conference Registration Desk will be located in Toronto Ballroom Foyer. Upon check in, you will be asked to provide a valid government-issued form of identification. To ensure a smooth registration process, we kindly ask that you have your ID in hand and ready to present to the ACAMS staff member checking you in.

Registrations and attendance at, or participation in this conference constitutes an agreement by the registrant to ACAMS’s use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee’s image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions and audiotapes.

Session Materials

Attendees may access and download session handouts and speaker presentations (where available) on the conference materials web page with password: Canada2016

We encourage you to print or download to your laptop any presentations you would like to have with you during the conference. Printed handouts will not be provided during the conference. Updated conference materials will be available online within 2 weeks after the conference.

Materials will not be available online for the CAMS Exam Seminar as they will be provided at the conference.


Business casual attire is appropriate for all sessions and receptions. Hotel meeting room temperatures are difficult to regulate and tend to be on the cooler side. It’s a good idea to bring a jacket or sweater.

Guest Policy

If you wish to invite a guest to the networking reception, the cost is US$125. Please send your request to by 12:00 PM (ET) on Friday, October 21. Payment must be submitted at the time of the request. Upon check-in at the conference, please have your guest present a valid government-issues form of identification at the Registration Desk to pick up their name badge. Requests that are submitted after the eligible time-frame will not be considered.

Continuing Education Credits


ACAMS members will automatically receive up to 17 CAMS credits for attending this event; 11 credits for the main conference and 6 CAMS credits for the exam prep seminar. Additional continuing education credits may also be available from outside organizations. Please contact your accrediting body directly for instructions on submitting an application. ACAMS is not responsible for securing non-CAMS credits on behalf of conference attendees.

Substitution and Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received up to August 30 will receive a full refund minus a US$250 administration fee. Cancellations received August 31 – September 26 will be issued a credit voucher to be used towards next year’s conference. Cancellations received on or after September 27 will not be refunded.

Substitutions of registered attendees must be submitted in writing to by 12:00 PM (ET) on Friday, October 21. Please note that if the transfer is made from an ACAMS member to a non-ACAMS member, you will be charged the difference in cost. If you neither attend the conference nor designate a substitute prior to the event, you are still responsible for the full registration fee. If for any reason ACAMS cancels or reschedules the conference, we do not accept responsibility for airfare, hotel or other costs incurred by registrants.
